Shopping in Korea was a really neat experience. There were so many things to choose from in the various markets and shopping centers. The Korean money is called won, and the currency rate was really good when we were there. Some of the places that we shopped in:
Myeongdong Street
Insadong Market
Itaewon Market
Gwangjang Market
Namdaemun Market
Kyobo Bookstore
Bukchon Hanok Village
Gamcheon Cultural Village
Namsan Seoul Tower
Seoul/Busan KTX Train Station
DMZ Souvenir Shop
Korean food is also really interesting. They are known for kimchi, rice, and many spices. My favorites are Bulgolgi, Bimbipbap, and Japchae. The side dishes known as banchan (little dishes, big flavor) include rice, kimchi, sprouts, seaweed, other vegetables, etc.) If you want to learn more about Korean food, watch Kimchi Chronicles on Amazon Prime.
It was fun to shop and eat in Korea.
I am wondering what kinds of things did you buy!
yum!
