Made Finals 2 Years In a Row

As I was reading last night about the Scripps National Spelling Bee, it brought up a good memory for me. I remember participating in my local county spelling bee to see who would go on to state and then to the National Spelling Bee. I remember studying and studying, looking up words, the meanings, and the origin of each word. I am still a pretty good speller today, just not good with grammar or writing.

I sure wished I would have made it to state and onto Nationals. I was so close! But it was fun while it lasted.
