Korea, Here We Come...
May 28-June 5
Anneyong-haseyo (Hello)! I am super excited to be going to Korea in May with my “Seoul Sisters”. I will be traveling with some of my orphan mates that I met via Zoom and some in person during the Pandemic. The purpose of our trip will be to do a deeper dive into our roots. We will be visiting all the government agencies to see if they have any records of us or the orphanage we were in. We will see where our orphanage was located as well as other sight-seeing opportunities. It is sad to say that there are still Korean Orphanages that still exist.
Many of you may or may not know that I went to the Korean Consulate in Houston in December to leave a DNA Sample to be mailed to Korea in hopes that I may find some relatives over there. And if so, I may connect while I am in Korea. I am not getting my hopes up to high but there is a slight chance. They say I should hear something as soon as 2-3 months. (see pictures below of my experience.)
