On Friday, we returned by KTX Train from Busan to Seoul, where we got off in a crowd. Notice the first picture of people going up the stairs from the train.
We took a subway and a bus to the Holt Illsan Center where we toured the various buildings on site and learned more about Harry and Bertha Holt, the founders of Holt International Adoption Agency.
Holt Ilsan Center opened with the name "Holt Ilsan Welfare Town" in 1961 as a child welfare institution and has been working for children who could not be adopted and have a disability for about 40 years. Now, more than 70 percent of the 200 residents have become adults over the age of 18, and 85 percent of the total population is composed of residents with severe mental retardation and brain disorder.
