Eastern Social Welfare Society is my Korean Adoption Agency. So before I could come to the United States, I had to go through an agency in Korea so they could be in touch with an American Agency. In 1972, the Eastern Social Welfare Society was founded for children and neighbors who were suffering and rejected by society at the time.
In 2001, I was able to meet the Executive Director at that time who began the Agency in 1972. Elder Dr. Kim was the one who signed my paperwork to come over to the United States. We were told that he prayed over every child that was adopted. Then in 2016, I was able to meet his daughter who took over his position after he retired and then passed away.
Eastern Social Welfare Society does a lot of great things in Korea. They have on their second floor a place where babies are until they are picked up by their families. You can hold them and I sure did. They are so precious. They have a guesthouse where families can stay if needed when picking up their babies.

HOw special to be able to hold one of the babies .....I love following your story.
Such a beautiful story of love and care for those in need. 💕🙏💕
