My U.S. Adoption Agency is Dillon International Inc. out of Tulsa, OK. I do not know how my parents found this agency. But I am truly grateful for the Dillons and their agency.
Here is their history from their website - Dillon International was founded by Jerry and Deniese Dillon in 1972 to meet the needs of thousands of vulnerable Korean orphans. Centrally located in the United States, Dillon International is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and was the first licensed international adoption agency in the state.
Throughout our history, Dillon International has been actively involved in establishing intercountry adoption standards and policies both in the United States and abroad. The agency has helped to establish adoption programs in several countries, including a model foster care program in Korea. Each participating country in the agency’s adoption program has invited Dillon International to help find homes for their vulnerable children.
Since our beginning, Dillon has been an advocate for ethical adoption standards, earning us long-standing, esteemed relationships with U.S. and foreign government officials. In addition, Dillon International has helped to underwrite hospitals, orphanages, and schools in Korea, India, China, Haiti, and Vietnam.
I have helped with their Korea Heritage Camp and Discovery Days for Teens. Dillon does a lot to support Adoptive families with their needs. I am now volunteering by hosting a space for Adoptive Parents to ask questions and discuss their struggles and joys. I am also facilitating a book discussion once a month. We are reading the Primal Wound by Nancy Verrier. If you are an adoptive parent and want more information on either, click here.
I am so proud of you for helping at Dillon, Darcy! You are an amazing and loving person!
Love Dillon!!!
