We began this day by going to the Blue House (similar to the White House in the U.S.) It formerly served as the presidential residence and the diplomatic reception halls of South Korea from 1948 to 2022.
From there, we walked to Gyeongbokgong Palace, which was built as the official palace of the Joseon dynasty by Yi Seong-gye, who became King Taejo and the founder of the new regime. Gyeongbokgung Palace is commonly called the Northern Palace because of its location in the north of Changdeokgung Palace in the east and Gyeonghuigung Palace in the west.
Next, we walked to Bukchon Hanok Village. It is home to hundreds of traditional houses, called hanok, that date back to the Joseon dynasty. There were some shops that we were able to browse in.
After that, we went to the Nanta Performance in the Myeongdong district. It's a parody performing funny events in wacky kitchens and acrobatics. Afterward, we went shopping on Myeongdong Street, enjoying street food.
Another great day in Seoul!
Amazing!
