Baptism is a significant part of my faith journey as I come from the baptismal waters to live a new life as a child of God. I am named, claimed, and loved by a God of love. Faith is and has always been a part of my life. My baptism sets me out on a lifelong journey that is characterized by my relationship with God, and with others.
I strive to live out my baptism by living among God’s faithful people, hearing the word of God and sharing in the Lord’s Supper, proclaiming the good news of God in Christ through word and deed, serving all people following the example of Jesus, and strive for justice and peace in all the earth.
I grew up in a family of faith, a community of faith, and continue to be surrounded by people of faith. I often questioned God’s love for me. I have learned a lot about what it means to be a part of God’s family. So when I sometimes feel like I don’t belong, I know I belong to God’s family. I am grateful, I want others to know they belong to God’s family too.
